Lowcountry Women’s Specialists has joined Unified Women’s Healthcare, the leading physician practice management company dedicated exclusively to women’s healthcare. The Summerville-based practice joins the 13-state Unified Women’s Healthcare network, furthering their mission to provide outstanding healthcare to women throughout their lifetime in a family-like atmosphere, while being better positioned to expand and improve on its excellence in clinical care and patient experience.

“We are excited about this affiliation as it allows us to continue providing the care our patients know and trust, expands our ability to provide healthcare that is accessible, affordable, and innovative, and enables us to pursue our interests in women’s health research and clinical trials,” explains Stacey Mosay, Practice Administrator.

With over 1800 physicians in 13 states and DC, Unified Women’s Healthcare clinicians care for over 2 million women each year, accounting for 1 out of 32 births in the United States.  With its unique operating model, Unified provides the tools, data and resources to each of its Partner Practices to reduce costs, create efficiencies, and build a shared value so providers and the operations team can focus on what they do best – patient care. With its strong belief that the transformation to value-based care has to be physician led, each Unified partnership ensures the preservation of private practice by keeping the decision making and autonomy at the local level while elevating each practice with the standards and knowledge sharing of a national, respected network of best-in-class physicians.

“Our vision is for all women to have the best healthcare in the world. Our sole purpose has always been to make healthcare better, simpler, and more affordable. We share a great deal in common as like-minded clinical and business professionals with Lowcountry Women’s Specialists, and look forward to a delivering on our  commitment to patients together,” says Bob LaGalia, President and CEO of Unified Women’s Healthcare.
